How To Enroll In a Health Plan

If you don't get health care coverage through your job or a government program, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) offers Individual health plans for you and your family.

During the Special Enrollment Period (SEP), you can sign up for a plan with BCBSNM when you go through a qualifying life event. Learn more about SEP

Ways To Enroll

You have a few ways you can enroll in a health plan. Review these options to decide what works best for you:

Agent or Broker
A licensed BCBSNM authorized agent or broker can answer questions and help you with your 2022 BCBSNM health care coverage. Request an agent or broker, if you don't have one.
Phone
You can call 1-888-809-1135 to speak with a BCBSNM licensed sales representative.
beWellnm
If you qualify for a subsidy, enroll through beWellnm for an on-Exchange plan.

Other Health Care Coverage Options

If you are 65 or over, you can apply for Medicare. Learn about Medicare coverage options in your area.

You may also qualify for Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or other assistance based on your income. These health care coverage options are provided by the government. You can apply at any time. You may also qualify for financial help.
